Spider sits atop a blossom of a Russian Thistle waiting on a stray insect.
While working as a investigator for the government I took this photograph
along with a series of others in a combination State, and Federal lawsuit
against a drilling company for pollution of the water shed from their oil
pump's well heads. I have nothing against oil companies, and understood
their operation procedures, but I had a job to do, and I did it. I
wanted to give a fair and balanced account of the sites so I took photographs
of insects, birds, and animals that surrounded the sites in perfect harmony.
The photographs I took were the deciding link in the legal proceeding against
the oil company; they had to clean up their well heads.
