STERILE - TITANIUM THUMB KNIFE. aka TTK.  This was a very interesting little item that was made for the personnel in a foreign government, and friendly to the United States I will add back in 1998.  I have always been infatuated so to speak with covert carry items as I have had an infinite relationship with them in my earlier years. A correspondence from a man overseas led to this little blade. The man worked in a highly specialized unit within his countries military, and had thoughts that as a last resort this sort of item would be quite the ticket. We discussed via encrypted emails, and registered post the merits and flaws of such a product. My theory on this little guy was that if your close enough to use it then the feces is most likely already in the wind and your faith is seals so go for it.

The knife needed to be very easy to conceal, lightweight, and for most parts indestructible. The two of us settled on a basic design similar to the World War 2 collar knives. During the time of manufacture, the 6AL4V titanium in such small amounts could pass through most hand held scanners with ease as I demonstrated to the United States Marshall Service in a Federal Court House. That is a story for another time however. The little knife weighted in less than an ounce, and let no magnetic foot print. I might note that newer magnetic recognition measures since the unprovoked attack on the United States in New York City, which brought down the Twin Towers has been improved, and “certain newer equipment” is able to generate an electronic fingerprint of very small amounts of this metal. 

(*) A real life usage of our Titanium Tiger by a law enforcement officer during a undercover weapon (guns) buy in California raised our thought processes.  A pure defensive action by the officer caused the "thin pointed" tip of the Tiger to roll when stuck in the side of the attacker's (bad-guy=B.G.) skull.  Needless to say the slash across the back of the B.G.'s hand caused him to drop his pistol, but the stab in the skull, and deep lacerations of the scalp by the little titanium knife stopped the attack.  The extremely thin pointed tip on the very thin blade however rolled slightly, but continued to cut.
