Newt-
I got my XXXXX today. I am more than happy with them. Newt my friend, you sure
do have a knack for implements of destruction.
Joe R.
Newt,
" ........... I already own one of your Bushi Tanto Knives and wish to add more of your work to my ( working ) collection. I have yet to find another maker who creates a knife so fit for purpose. Thank you for your time and trouble. Kind regards Bill P. (ENGLAND)
Hello Mr. Livesay,
Please forgive the lateness of this response. I received the WA-1 sticks you kindly sent me last week. However, I spent the entire week preparing for the event where I was going to use them, and so did not respond to you at that time. The sticks have excellent balance, weight, and maneuverability. I used them with both the Scottish Singlesticks combat and with Italian La Canne. Singlesticks, if you are not aware, derives from saber fencing and uses primarily slashing instead of thrusting. Italian La Canne uses slashing and thrusting, but its real deadliness lies in the speed generated by spinning the weapon prior to striking. The WA-1 sticks performed stylishly and lethally In both workshops. I gave everyone who asked your website address. I will also be reviewing them in my newsletter, Sharp Response. Thank you again, and perhaps I will see you at the New York Custom Knife Show next month.
Best regards, James Loriega
Newt;
I require x1 walk about stick with a minimum length of 114 cm, however I will
take a standard size whatever that is. ---- I remain optimistic that your
products will meet the needs of far traveling personnel who require a discreet
and no nonsense approach to security. Many thanks and kind regards

Dear Newt
the sticks arrived today! thank you so much for the prompt service. My wife and
daughter commandeered them straight away and I have reduced the walkabout to 34
inches for pops. I carried the walkabout around York and it never so much as
raised an eyebrow. I am sure that I will have to place a further order once the
rest of the family sees dads. In the meantime I wish you al well. please e mail
me if you ever produce a crooked top stick as this would be useful in the city.
Kind regards

Everyone: Okay, I tried my best to break a WA-1 yesterday by beating it
repeatedly as hard as I could against the edges of an old picnic table.
The WA-1 left serious dents in the wood but the only damage it sustained
was some discoloration (It picked up some of the paint off the old table)
and the rubber tip flew off and I lost it. In other words, NO DAMAGE. I
was snapping green vines off the trees easily. The trick, as I guessed it
would be, is in the wrist. For you Filipino stylists, think wootik, not
lobtik. You can go ahead and lobtik, but make sure there is a definite
wrist snap at the moment of contact. When I was finished with that, I
snapped it against a sapling. (I'd guess about 1 1/2" inches in diameter.)
It left such scar that I kept at it, and eventually chopped down the whole
tree. This is an impressive little instrument. Okay, I am not at liberty
to use names, places, or give any other details. But we do have one
confirmed report of the WA-1 being used MORALLY and LEGALLY in a real
world self-defense situation. The attacker was struck twice, and was taken
to the hospital. Again, let me stress that this was investigated and
determined to be a LEGAL CASE OF SELF-DEFENSE.
JVC
Long story short:
The WA-1 is an innocent-looking, instantly deployed self-defense item that
you probably won't destroy in your lifetime. At only $10 from Newt, it is
a "Steal Of The Century" award contender. Buy one for your car, one for
your house/apt by the bed or front door, and one for the lady of your life
so she won't steal yours, which has happened.

Hi Newt,
The 702 is used as utility knife and works just fine. I love flat grounds and drop points knives. The balance is just perfect and I really appreciate the various qualities of 1095 carbon steel in your blade and design. Also, such an elegant knife !!!
I don't know if Fred is doing ads in the UK. I know he' s equipping French Special Forces with your Babies and these peoples are training also a lot with SAS... so could it be the connection?
best regards from Paris ! cheers, JM MoreauDISCOVERY CHANNEL - GILL MONTE
Newt, Flicking around the dial. Stopped for a moment on the Discovery
Channel's documentary about tattoos. Saw biker tattoo artist Gill Montie
talking to the camera, Woo boldly hanging around his neck. Newt Livesay, knife
maker to the biker elite. Congratulations! All best,

Respectfully yours,

I have a number of Newt's knives and I like them all, but the Woo is my
favorite of the neck knives. I had an Air Assault for awhile but it was slightly
too big for me. I stuck with my ICU instead. It's the same knife but slightly
smaller.

You can't go wrong with the AA and Woo, I love both the AA and Woo. Spent 2
weeks out in Vegas and was extremely glad I had my Woo handy late one night!!!!
Honest it only drew a little blood, and I sanitized the blade as quickly as
possible. 45 ACP: Give 'em a new navel!

I just got my AA. Sweet knife isn't it???? And the handle is comfy too!!! How
Newt does it, I'll never know!!!! BIG-TARGET ---- I'm not called that because
I'm an anorexic midget!!!!!
BIG TARGET
Newt's Air Assault is one of my favorite knives. ---- Newt's knives are very
functional and he does seem to have a gift for handle design. I own two of his
larger creations (including the AA), and a few of his smaller offerings. I've
shown that particular knife to a lot of people and they all note how well the
handle lets the knife flow from saber to reverse grip and back again. Of course
I choose to put a lanyard in the hole which spoils that particular effect, but
then I don't do much knife fighting. ---- There may be sexier knives, but none
that work harder for the price. ----

Hi Newt, The NRGS-EX just arrived. I just wanted to let you know and thank you!
It's an awesome little cutter. I look forward to seeing and owning a RTAK Jr.,
and a Kukri made by you. Soon I will be ordering several desert ironwood handle
drop point hunters, from you. I hope you still have them next month. Do you
still have any in stock?
Thanks again,
Dennis
KYDEX SHEATHS
Thank you very much for returning my phone call regarding my inquiry (SRK
kydex sheath) and for taking my order. I have heard nothing but praise for your
products and if they are half as good as the quality folks you have answering
questions and taking phone orders, you'll have a customer for life! Thanks
again, I really appreciate being treated like a person and not a number!

Hi Newt... Got the knife yesterday..... love it!!! Thanks... and take care.

I've got one of Newt's cord wrapped Woos and without a doubt this is a killer
( ) blade. Mine fits just great between my body armor and BDU blouse. I can
leave a button or two unbuttoned for quick access and nobody's the wiser.

Mr. Livesay, My husband, Ken, has purchased several of your knives and finds
them to be some of the best he's ever had. He is the tactical team leader for
our county sheriff's office and uses only your knives when on call outs. He says
they are durable and stand up in any situation. He would like to know if you
will be attending the Blade Show in Atlanta this year? Thank you for reading our
little testimonial and for making such wonderful knives.
Sincerely,
Kelly B.
ORIGINAL LIVESAY RTAK SURVIVAL
Newt, I'll take 5 more RTAKs around mid-March. I took a look at these you
just sent out. I REALLY like the edge on these. The grinds seem perfect and the
whole blade just seems to look a lot better than the first run. Not saying
anything was wrong with the first ones at all, but these are really slick. I
hope this blade is selling well for you. All the military guys that see it
really like the piece.

Dear Mr Livesay,
After seeing some user reviews of your knives at the Bladeforums.com site, I am
planning on purchasing an RTAK and would like to find out a few details on the
purchasing procedure. I would be paying by VISA, do you require a deposit with
order? ---- I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks

Hello Newt,
Just a note that I have received my RTAK, and am very impressed by the knife! It
fits the hand like nothing I've held before and has so far proven exceptionally
useful and durable.
I appreciate your assistance throughout my past two orders from your workshop, and give all due respects to your dedication and talent in this craft!
Thanks again for your considerate help on my purchase.
Sincerely,

I got my RTAK yesterday. I thought the handle might be a little too big, but I
spent all day chopping saplings, trumpet vine, dry brush, and blackberry with
it. I LOVE IT!!! I had to sharpen it once after a few hours of chopping and I
touched the edge up again after I came in this afternoon. WHAT A KNIFE! It still
looks great. Thanks for the fast turnaround on it. I was expecting my wife's US
Marshal looooong before I got this thing. Now she is jealous! My kids think it's
a cool knife too. That's as good an endorsement as you can ask for! Let me know
when you get the Marshal and thermal mugs sent out. I'll make sure we are at
home to accept the package.
Many thanks!

This knife is awsome, far exceeded my high expectations. I hope all is well in
Peru.

MORE WOO BU-Shi FIGHTER & LIVESAY RTAK
Mr. Livesay last year i attended the gun show in Knoxville, Tennessee and was with a friend of mine which is a federal officer, we came up on a table of a man who had one of your knifes for sale along with his private collection of guns, the knife was a Livesay Bushi fighter model 143, knife was sharp as a razor and was made to last, my friend greg purchased that knife that day and has used and abused that knife since he has owned it, i will not go into the abuse this knife has taken for it will take to long, but aside from having to sharpen the knife a few times, it still remains in top shape. I would like to own one of these knifes and was wondering if you have a mail order catalog available that you could send me, i think one of these knifes would make a great addition to my patrol car gear.... thanks kevin xxxxxxxxx email at THPxxxx@xxx.com or write to 520 xxxxxxx road xxxxxxx Tn, xxxxx....
Mr. Livesay Let me start off by saying that I have carried a Woo daily for well
over a year now, I liked it so much I bought on for my father, who also wears
his all the time. I also own a Bushi I keep in my patrol vehicle. I searched for
your web sight and fell instantly in love with the RTAK and the Recon Combat
Machete. I found a price on the RCM, but could not locate one for the RTAK. Also
what's your estimated delivery time? Now I just have to figure out which one I
want. It's refreshing to find a knife maker that builds products to actually be
used rather then collected.
Thank you

U.S. MARSHALL & G45 NECK KNIFE
Mr. Livesay:
Well, like Jack Nicholson said in the movie "A Few Good Men", "Now, don't I feel
like a fucking-idiot" Didn't realize the G-45 was a gift; I mean, who does such
a thing? A new experience for me :-) Been looking hard at the "Marshall" Please
tell me if the finish is comparable to the finish on the G-45. I'm not familiar
with the process of "parkarization" or it's merits vis-a-vis Benchmade's bt2,
black ti, or other protective coatings. I'm impressed with the G-45's sharp edge
and apparent strength. I'm not sure how I feel about the blade's appearance.
Performance wins over appearance but I confess to being influenced by how a
blade finish looks. Again, thanks for the gift and I'm really looking forward to
the sheath.
Best regards,
Paul
I greatly admire your work.
I think the Air Assault I’ve got is one of the sexiest knives I own. Love the
handles.
I think I need an UJI next and a couple of WA-1 sticks. Could you arrange to
send me some? ----- Keep up the excellent work, your knives are an outstanding
value.
Sincerely, Chandler A.
SERVICE
Thanks Newt. I don't mean to bug you about it but what can I say when I find
a knife I want I have to have it. Not to kiss up, but in all seriousness I have
gotten the point that I only buy your knives because they have been consistently
the best for my money. Anyway like I said, sorry to bug you, but yes I
definitely want one.
Thanks Again, Chris R.
Newt, just thought I would say hello. Also I would like to tell you how well
your woo knife was received in the locker room at my sheriff's dept. here in
Michigan. The guys loved it I'm sure you will be getting orders in the near
future. As for me I know I will order one or two others real soon. thanks again.
stay safe.

U.S. MARSHALL
Newt,
Got my SOP about a week ago. Since then I have put it through the paces and this
is one amazing little knife. It cuts far beyond what I would expect from a blade
this small. Now I need a bigger blade, RTAK, RCM, or HKR. Probably a little
pecker too. Looking forward to doing business with you again.

Hey Newt: The sniper buddy I bought one of those knives for at Christmas took it to a course where he was testing a bunch of stuff, and it may make it into SOF magazine. I will update you as it gets closer, but he says it is the best knife he ever owned. Put it against a Strider, said every last guy chose the Livesay :) I just told him: No shit. haha Hope all is well there. Bruce XXXXXXXXXXXX
hi Newt, -------- i still have my Uji its my favorite and haven’t found anything better in years anyway hope you are well and hope the forum comes back one day i miss it. best wishes from Karl in the U.K.
SERVICE AND OTHER PRODUCTS COMMENTS
Dearest Newt a quick line to say thank you.
We received our second order yesterday. My father, at the age of 67 is too proud
to carry a cane he was very pleased to carry the extra long WA stick. I am so
saddened by the events in America, as a serving member of the RAF I have a good
understanding of the ramifications of this heinous event. My parents live in the
city of Bradford and after the 11 of Sep have become increasingly concerned that
they maybe the targets of uneducated revenge attacks, I hope that your products
will deter an attack on my frail god fearing relatives.
Kind Regards
M K
Mr.Livesay - Just received my knives. Could not be happier. They are even
better than I had expected. When you hold them one thought comes to mind. These
knives will get the job done. You should be very proud of your craftsmanship. I
will let my friends know about your fine work and hopefully drum up more
business for you(like you don't work hard enough already) Again thank you for the
knives. I think you should use this slogan; "Newt Livesay... maker of no
bullshit knives"
